WEBSITE LAUNCH

So after a lot of work and time, i’ve finally made my own website to further my own creative practice independently. As such I will no longer be using Etsy as a method of selling, instead all my sales will go through the SHOP page of my site. I will be uploading weekly blogs about my artistic practice, general boring life stuff and me.

Succulent I repotted cus its cute.

So I started this website not really having any clue what I was doing, I mostly blagged my way through youtube tutorials and various online forums to get the look and feel I wanted for the site. I spent a while learning bits and bobs of coding in order to make Squarespace do what i wanted and MOSTLY (with some invaluable help from a friend) got it looking how i wanted. Now that i was on a creative high from the boost of confidence seeing my own website gave me, I began designing some screen prints ready for when i came back to University. I had already spent some time over the summer trying to make a DIY screen printing setup work, however it crumbled my self esteem realising I would just have to wait another few months until i was back at Uni. Jump to freshers week of Uni and i’m ready to go with three designs for my new online shop. After I printed the designs I spent some time preparing other items for my new SHOP, as such three new sticker designs were born and on their way to me.

Now that I was done with the art for the new releases, I was able to begin focusing on the first brief of third year, at a first glance i’m planning on creating a series of medieval knight themed posters. Im hoping to be able to do this through screen printing, however if things shut down again that might not be possible and I may have to resort to other methods to fulfil the brief.

So now that my website is live, and I have three new screen prints to release and sell with stickers on the way, i’m really excited to see what I can produce in this final year of Uni and can’t wait to share it with you all.

Cal.
